Happy Belated Easter! Me and Luke spent this past long weekend mostly at home as Luke has been sick with pneumonia. Poor guy. :'( We did end up doing a couple things like go to the new Batman vs. Superman movie, but his energy levels have not been up since a week ago. Today he seems to be doing quite a bit better but will be off work until Thursday. I'm glad he will be getting the rest he needs. Im just praying that the pneumonia stays away from me which can be pretty serious for me and baby. Another milestone for me, 30 weeks is here! Baby is the size of a cabbage this week but I personally think she feels bigger! She is close to 16 inches and weighs around 3 lbs. I have only 10 weeks left (give or take) and I can't believe how fast this third trimester is going. Not too much has changed from last week. My belly continues to stretch and she continues to move which is reassuring that everything is going smoothly. I do have another OB appointment this week on Thursday ...
29 weeks was already 2 days ago! I can't believe it, I feel like I was just 10 weeks yesterday! Baby is the size of a cauliflower, 2.5lbs and 15 inches long! She is definitely getting big! My pregnancy app told me today that a baby at this stage cannot feel pain, temperature or touch which is a total lie! It kind of bothered me actually. She totally knows and reacts to when I put my hand on my tummy or when I drink a cold drink. The article kind of came across like babies aren't able to do much at this stage which did not sit well with me. Babies are very much able to survive with assistance at this point if they are born premature and definitely respond to pain and touch. Silly pregnancy app... haha!  Not too much has changed this week.. Baby is still moving lots and the "rolling" sensation has become a lot more common then just kicks and punches which can be very uncomfortable. I cant imagine what this will feel like when she is full term! Since my uterus is growi...
28 Weeks! We are officially there! The third trimester and it feels so good! Well, it feels good to be in the last stretch, my body on the other hand, is not feeling so good. haha Baby is the size of a large eggplant at this point and is about 14.5 inches and 2.2lbs. She is getting big and I can definitely feel her growing! These past two weeks I have felt so many more big movements like rolling and pushing which is new. I still feel the kicks and punches but it's the big movements that are getting uncomfortable. I was actually on a sick leave from work for the past 10 days which was because my braxton hicks contractions had been getting stronger and more frequent due to stress. I took the time to rest, emotionally and physically and God totally knew I needed the break from my busy life just for a little while. I was able to get things done that I had been procrastinating for months and that also felt good to have some time to do those things. Me and Luke were also able to trav...
26 weeks! Baby is 14 inches and the size of a coconut! She is moving a lot this week like normal but I definitely think that she is going through a growth spurt as I looked through my bump pictures. Even from 24 weeks I'm for sure bigger. So I have been finding that my Braxton Hicks have only really been happening at work when I get stressed out. I do have a doctors appointment this week so I will be asking her if this is something to be concerned about as I really want to be cautious and take care of myself and baby.  Hip pain has been something I experience everyday this past week and it has even woken me up in the night.😓 I'm really hoping that this is something that will subside or become less irritable. I'm guessing it won't but it would be nice as I sit almost all day and I think moving around would help. I think I need to be stretching more now then ever to releave the pain.  I am starting to feel tired again as I feel the energy boost from the secon...
Running errands and talking on the phone, I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone. Little tiny hands a precious rounded knee pushing and twisting that no one can see. Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, it is out little secret that only I can feel. I look forward to your birth, when I can kiss your skin, but for now I will just smile, as I feel you play within. - Unknown Only 100 days left till my due date! Getting so anxious to meet you our little June bug!
25 weeks! These past couple weeks have gone by fast! Here's to hoping the next 15 go just as quickly. Baby is the size of a large cucumber is 13 inches long and 1.5lbs. Not too much has changed since the last week, but baby's movements are getting very strong! Sometimes it feel like she is scratching at my lower abdomen trying to get out which is not a very nice feeling. Haha. I have seen and felt her do some big rolls in there which I guess is new this past week. I'm still thinking she is head down as she has been since around 18 weeks. I have been putting my headphones on my belly so that she can listen to some music. Im hoping this will help her calm down when she hears familiar tunes outside of the womb. Who knows if it will work. The artist Sleeping at Last is my favorite to play for her since it's Indie that is so soft and soothing . One of my favorites too. :) So yes, we are having a little girl if you did not know already and we are so excited! Shopping has b...
24 weeks! Baby is almost 12 inches and the size of a large zucchini! haha. These food comparisons still crack me up! This week was much like the last lots of movement from little one which I have enjoyed but some kicks are now not so comfortable as they are getting stronger. I can now feel and see a foot or elbow protruding from my side occasionally which is so wild! Even Luke can see and feel them which is sweet. Saturday and Sunday this past week I didn't feel as much movement in the regular spots like my upper right side and low abdomen so of course I became a bit concerned. I wasn't feeling very much of any movement so I tried everything to get the baby to move. Sure enough I laid down for about an hour and drank some cold juice and I felt some faint kicks. Nothing like I was feeling before where my stomach would look like waves but it was something.  I'm pretty positive baby or the placenta has moved in there and I am still not feeling a whole lot. I just need to trust...
